Millions of US Tax $ funding the Taliban every week! ARE YOU F$%KING KIDDING ME?

( – promoted by buhdydharma )

End this fucking war NOW!

Private security contractors protecting the convoys that supply U.S. military bases in Afghanistan are paying millions of dollars a week in “passage bribes” to the Taliban and other insurgent groups to travel along Afghan roads, a congressional investigation released Monday has found.

The alleged payments, which are reimbursed by the U.S. government, help fund the very enemy the U.S. is attempting to defeat and renew questions about the U.S. dependence on private contractors, who outnumber American troops in Afghanistan, 130,000 to 93,000.

So taxpayer money is funding contractors in Afghanistan who in turn fund THE TALIBAN with US Government reimbursable bribe money.

Seriously?

WTF???

Basically, American taxpayers are helping the Taliban buy bullets to shoot at American soldiers, with Military Industrial Complex war profiteers acting as the middle man.

Really

They call it the Theater of War. I always knew it was kabuki theater, but this is fucking ridiculous.

You see, when you go to war in the place that is called “The Graveyard of Empires”, the intelligent observer should become skeptical. When you have no plan to win a war the intelligent observer should become cynical. But when you have a circular system that funds a war that ALL OF HUMAN HISTORY says can NOT be won, where war profiteering contractors are the only party that stands to win, under a corrupt Karzai Government that steals elections and deals heroin, and where American tax payer money somehow finds its way from those contractors, around the corrupt untrained and totally useless Afghani army and into the hands of the SAME FUCKING PEOPLE WE ARE AT WAR WITH, that is when the the intelligent observer should become FUCKING INSANE WITH OUTRAGE and DEMAND THIS FUCKING WAR ENDS NOW!

Here is a better idea which will save everyone some time. Lets pay the Contractors in bullets. Then, when they have to bribe the SAME TALIBAN WE ARE AT WAR WITH in order to bring in supplies to help us wage war on the Taliban we just bribed with reimbursable by the US Gov bribe money, the Taliban can just shoot at our soldiers with the bullets we paid the contractors in instead of having to buy bullets with the money the contractors gave them.

And yes, the last two paragraphs are probably the most convoluted, twisted and nonsensical paragraphs I have ever written, but given the subject matter, I am amazed my hair didn’t catch fire while writing it.

This is literally the equivalent of buying the 9/11 hijackers their airline tickets with American tax dollars. Shit like this would make Joseph Heller, author of Catch 22, roll in his grave, because it sounds like his work, but you seriously can’t make this kind of shit up.

Our own Lawrence Lewis at DailyKos wrote on this subject early this week in a much more eloquent and PG rated manner than I, but I thought it should be brought up again, because, seriously, WE ARE PAYING THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SHOOTING AT US TO ALLOW US TO SHOOT AT THEM.

And yes, that requires all caps. It is that bad.

As Laurence Lewis stated . . .

Even Joseph Heller couldn’t have come up with this. The worse things get, the more the hawks say we have to stay. And we’re actually paying private “contractors” who are paying the very enemy that they and our official military are supposed to be fighting. Millions of dollars. A week.

  Millions of dollars. A week.

So, here is where the obviousness of the kabuki kicks in. We have been at war in Afghanistan longer than any other war in American history. If our goal is to win, the FIRST thing we should do is STOP PAYING THE TALIBAN. For anything. If we are trying to win this war, paying the enemy we are at war with is certainly the dumbest fucking thing possible.

If we are trying to win this war. The “IF” is the variable here.

On the other hand, if we are merely engaged in a long term kabuki theater that is designed to do nothing more than funnel taxpayer money to war profiteers in the Military Industrial Complex, whose only goal is to increrase their bloated military budgets every year, and who will give money to the very enemy who is killing our soldiers in order to prolong this conflict for their own profit, well, Mission Accomplished.

And the Generals change, but the strategy stays the same, doesn’t it?

And that strategy officially includes paying US Contractors who pay the same Taliban we are at war with to bring in more tax payer funded supplies so we can wage war with the same Taliban we just paid in taxpayer money to let us in in the first place.

Yes, someone needs to scream, all of us need to scream at the top of our lungs ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!

Because making this kind of shit up seems damn near impossible. It is a Catch 22, and one where the only one who is winning are the war profiteers. You want a war we can win. This ain’t it. But it sure is profitable for the right people, and some of them include the fucking Taliban. WTF?

This time Milo had gone too far. Bombing his own men and planes was more than even the most phlegmatic observer could stomach, and it looked like the end for him…Milo was all washed up until he opened his books to the public and disclosed the tremendous profit he had made.

End this fucking war NOW. Bring our troops HOME NOW. The war is making us POOR, but the war machine keeps turning, death and hatred to mankind, poisoning their brainwashed minds.

  1. It’s like Vietnam with iPods.

  2. Sooner or later, people are going to have to choose between supporting him and opposing the wars.

can be a hard blow, but it’s best to go ahead and get it over with. That way many, many other things will begin to make sense, and you’ll soon forget you ever actually believed that all things happen by accident in this world. Those at GOS enforce that illusion with an iron fist, but it is not and never has been true.

But thanks for reminding me of Milo Minderbinder and his chocolate covered egyptian cotton balls… ยง;o)
