New Structures

.

Are emerging.

Structures fostered by the internet, based on People connecting with People, bypassing the old structures. Structures based on a new Planet-centric “morality” of human consciousness….that crosses all “religious,” dogmatic and ideological boundaries and structures. Intended to unite, not divide, the human race.

A new morality, based on saving the Planet. Saving the Planet for all humanity….not one tribe or nation or country.

(Note: Until this new form of focused human consciousness develops it’s own new lexicon, it will be necessary to to use “religious” terms and phrasing. I urge us all to look beyond any prejudices we may (understandably) have regarding this “old” form of expression and focus on the consciousness behind the language)

A Great Urgency: To All World Religious and Spiritual Leaders,? by

Chief Arvol Looking Horse

May 14, 2010

My Relatives,

Time has come to speak to the hearts of our Nations and their Leaders.

I ask you this from the bottom of my heart, to come together from the

Spirit of your Nations in prayer.

We, from the heart of Turtle Island, have a great message for the

World; we are guided to speak from all the White Animals showing their

sacred color, which have been signs for us to pray for the sacred life

of all things.

As I am sending this message to you, many Animal Nations are being

threatened, those that swim, those that crawl, those that fly, and the

plant Nations, eventually all will be affect from the oil disaster in

the Gulf.

The dangers we are faced with at this time are not of spirit. The

catastrophe that has happened with the oil spill which looks like the

bleeding of Grandmother Earth, is made by human mistakes, mistakes

that we cannot afford to continue to make.

I ask, as Spiritual Leaders, that we join together, united in prayer

with the whole of our Global Communities. My concern is these serious

issues will continue to worsen, as a domino effect that our Ancestors

have warned us of in their Prophecies.

I know in my heart there are millions of people that feel our united

prayers for the sake of our Grandmother Earth are long overdue. I

believe we as Spiritual people must gather ourselves and focus our

thoughts and prayers to allow the healing of the many wounds that have

been inflicted on the Earth. As we honor the Cycle of Life, let us

call for Prayer circles globally to assist in healing Grandmother

Earth (our Unc’I Maka).

We ask for prayers that the oil spill, this bleeding, will stop. That

the winds stay calm to assist in the work. Pray for the people to be

guided in repairing this mistake, and that we may also seek to live in

harmony, as we make the choice to change the destructive path we are

on.

As we pray, we will fully understand that we are all connected. And

that what we create can have lasting effects on all life.

So let us unite spiritually, All Nations, All Faiths, One Prayer.

Along with this immediate effort, I also ask to please remember June

21st, World Peace and Prayer Day/Honoring Sacred Sites day. Whether it

is a natural site, a temple, a church, a synagogue or just your own

sacred space, let us make a prayer for all life, for good decision

making by our Nations, for our children’s future and well-being, and

the generations to come.

  1. I also ask to please remember June 21st, World Peace and Prayer Day/Honoring Sacred Sites day. Whether it is a natural site, a temple, a church, a synagogue or just your own sacred space, let us make a prayer for all life …

I’ve read from other spiritual traditions the notion of creating one space which is sort of a “sanctuary” for life — in this space you wouldn’t even kill an insect.

Now that’s a “structure” I can get behind.

  2. for one who believes the Earth is a living being, and I am related to all things on her.

    Thanks for this.

  3. the ‘white animal’ reference.

I think it refers to the colors of the four directions, but would appreciate some clarification if anyone knows.

I’m no longer interested in saving the planet for humanity. I am interested in what Gaia does, not that I imagine that I can do much for or with her.

In a way, I would imagine his words speak for Gaia more than humans.

Maybe I am for post-humans in a very concrete way.

lining up to to buy CDO’s and short selling out all the animal nations?

    Savages. Sheesh.

  4. We have a choice. We can keep complaining about greed, fraud, and cutthroat business practices. We can put up with the daily stress of unsuccessfully juggling jobs and family. We can tell ourselves there’s nothing we can do about policies that damage our natural environment, create huge gaps between haves and have-nots, and lead to untold suffering. Or we can join together to help construct a saner, sounder, more caring economics and culture.

  5. its unfolding. So we stand here having been given our turn

to offer thanks, but somehow seem to think ourselves too evolved to do so.

So we work like busy bees, so self preoccupied with mechanical productivity, as if life itself requires us to religiously plan on how to assemble and acquire things, that the great gift of life itself falls out of our frame of reference. The sacred disappears.

We cannot engineer our way out of this state of mind. So yes Buhdy, we definitely need some genuinely creative structures to help us discover that universal spirit of thanks again.

“I was born by these waters. The earth here is my mother.”

    — Garry, of the Spokanes

“When the white man cut up this living entity [the land] with his surveying instruments, the Indian felt the horror of dismemberment. “

    — author Angie Debo

“How can you buy or sell the sky? The land? The idea is strange to us. If we do not own the freshness of the air or the sparkle of the water, how can you buy them? Every part of this earth is sacred to my people. Every shining pine needle, every sandy shore, every mist in the dark woods, every meadow, every humming insect. All are holy in the memory and experience of my people …”

“Will you teach your children what we have taught our children? That the earth is our mother? What befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth.”

“This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.”

“One thing we know: Our God is also your God. The earth is precious to Him and to harm the earth is to heap contempt on its Creator.”

    — attributed to Chief Seattle in 1855, when President Franklin Pierce stated he would buy the land of Chief Seattle’s tribe.(2)
