Dear God, Please tell us…

(10:30AM EST – promoted by Nightprowlkitty)

…what do we do now?

Don’t get me wrong.  I’m not asking some glittering icon in the sky.  I am asking the deep embedded creative wisdom which resides in every single sentient being, and possibly even in non-sentient beings, although I don’t think there are any beings who are not sentient.

A rock is a rock is a rock, living out it’s individual life span in a manner I cannot possibly pretend to understand.

No.  I am not asking some luminous (or dull) external being what to do.  I am asking us, we humans, in our wisdom, and the kittehs and the many creatures furred, multi-footed, slithering, gill breathing.  I am asking the life wisdom which resides in us all…

…what do we do now?

These times are so difficult, so stagnant, so confusing.  The system seems so locked in, so incapable of change, of reason, of being able to hear anything but it’s time calcified courses of usual and traditional action which only spiral into ever increasing layers of disaster and decay.  So…

…what do we do now?

Follow me in our exploration of a possible leap across the abyss beyond the fold..

So now that we are ‘beyond the fold’, what do we have to say about how to heal the world in which we find ourselves, a world which is, in fact, a hospice clinic for the terminally ill.  How do we heal ourselves from our imminent demise?

I don’t want the Republicans to win.  I don’t want the Democrats to win.  I want an  enlightened understanding and compassionate enveloping, embracing, enfolding of us within the wisdom of what is required to continue, to go on, to evolve, to live.  This is what I want to win.  I don’t care whether it is democrat, green, republican, or chocolat mousse, I want the wisdom of compassion for all life to win.

So, I’d like to propose this be an open thread to discuss ideas of how to encourage snd manifest the very highest and best of humanity.

  1. …both lofty and mundane…

  2. …recently is finding ways to state that we can no longer fight single issues, one issue at a time.

Why?  Because it is too much.  There are too many.  And their money/power defeats us every time.

I could go to rallies, demos, and brown bag lunch vigils 24/7, for all the working hours in the day, and there would still be more single issues to protest.

We can’t fight single issues; there are too many.  They are too vast; they only squander all our energy.

We must take down this entire system.  We must reclaim the Declaration of Independence before the Tea Partiers take that as their own also.

    Because:

Our government is no longer executing the conditions for which it was created.  Our government is now an obstacle to progress, to evolution, to the decency of man.

    Because:

We “…are endowed with certain unablienable Rights…Life, Libety, and the pursuit of Happiness –…to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men…{and} whenever any form of government becomes destructive of those ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government…”

  3. then there is no healing or saving or fixing or worrying over things out of our control.

    Best to demise with grace.

Part of the problem today, IMO, is folks not recognizing/accepting what is going on. We are passing from one age to another. The Oil Age is essentially over. It is oil which created this modern civilization of ours. It is Unsustainable. And good riddance in my opinion. There is no going back. There is no do-over. There is no “fix.”

Forget about politics. It’s a dead-end road. Forget about preserving nation-states and peoples.

What we should do is prepare to survive what is coming. Survive it. And then begin to rebuild a human civilization in the image of our brighter angels. And good luck with that, because humans, while very clever and cunning, also seem rather thick and unable to progress intellectually past a certain point as a species.

Civilizations come and go. This one is coming to an end. Trying to “save” it is a fool’s errand.

But if one is a fool, then what I would do is begin a movement to “forgive the debt.” Default on the fractional reserve banking system. Short of that?

    Duck and Cover.

figure out a way for each individually to be an example of how to live through the changes and let it ripple out from there?

    It is not dying?

    Turn off your mind

    Relax and float downstream

    It is not dying

    It is not dying

We were talking about the space between us all

And the people who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion

Never glimpse the truth, then it’s far too late when they pass away

We were talking about the love we all could share, when we find it

To try our best to hold it there, with our love

With our love, we could save the world if they only knew

Try to realize it’s all within yourself

No one else can make you change

And to see you’re really only very small

And life flows on within you and without you

  4. The tree that crashed in the backyard took out the power line that goes to my laundry room so Imagonna hafta go to the laundromat. PLus my usual saturday stuff. Wish I had a laptop.

    so this will be fast.

    Yes, syd, of course.

    But.

Im reluctant to just give up.

  5. may see ourselves as individuals, that type of conception appears to be a manifestation of triumphant, hegemonic languages (in its broadest sense) whose structures and symbols place their devotees as object/s of their “authority”.

Why do I say “authority”? Because it is a living, demanding meta-code, authoring its own survival, independent from its human creators, unconcerned with and using the living as merely conduits in its selfish, transgenerational existence.

We need to change this meta-code, dramatically altering its destructive grammatology, purging it of its anthropocentric stranglehold and stripping its militarism  reflected in its godlike logos. We must abandon it.

  6. …fpr the lift!

    live,

    participate in life.

If we walk off the stage,

    who will take our place?

2 AM and she calls me ’cause I’m still awake,

“Can you help me unravel my latest mistake?,

I don’t love him. Winter just wasn’t my season”

Yeah we walk through the doors, so accusing their eyes

Like they have any right at all to criticize,

Hypocrites. You’re all here for the very same reason

‘Cause you can’t jump the track, we’re like cars on a cable

And life’s like an hourglass, glued to the table

No one can find the rewind button, girl.

So cradle your head in your hands

    And breathe… just breathe,

    Oh breathe, just breathe

May he turned 21 on the base at Fort Bliss

“Just a day” he said down to the flask in his fist,

“Ain’t been sober, since maybe October of last year.”

Here in town you can tell he’s been down for a while,

But, my God, it’s so beautiful when the boy smiles,

Wanna hold him. Maybe I’ll just sing about it.

Cause you can’t jump the track, we’re like cars on a cable,

And life’s like an hourglass, glued to the table.

No one can find the rewind button, boys,

So cradle your head in your hands,

    And breathe… just breathe,

    Oh breathe, just breathe

There’s a light at each end of this tunnel,

You shout ’cause you’re just as far in as you’ll ever be out

And these mistakes you’ve made, you’ll just make them again

If you only try turning around.

2 AM and I’m still awake, writing a song

If I get it all down on paper, it’s no longer inside of me,

Threatening the life it belongs to

And I feel like I’m naked in front of the crowd

Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud

And I know that you’ll use them, however you want to

But you can’t jump the track, we’re like cars on a cable,

And life’s like an hourglass, glued to the table

No one can find the rewind button now

    Sing it if you understand.

    and breathe, just breathe

    woah breathe, just breathe,

    Oh breathe, just breathe,

    Oh breathe, just breathe.

  7. Thanks for your “probing” here.  Are we having fun yet?

O.K., In the back of my mind, I just keep thinking that there is something we’re not grasping, i.e., what to do about the current circumstances!  I have been searching and searching, and I keep coming up with this feeling that we’re not getting it — but I think it’s there, probably, right in front of our faces.  Is is withdrawal of paying taxes?  Just what is it that we could DO that would have impact and that which we have yet to put our fingers on?

I keep thinking on this and I truly think “we’re missing something — a message that should be clear — right in front of us” and, yet, the “message” hasn’t come clear as yet.
