family and I visited New Orleans, Eldest Son (a voracious reader and excellent writer, and also a recent M.S. in Biology) asked to drive over the bridge to Algiers. We did, and even though it was getting dark, I have a couple of pictures of him next to the plaque honoring Burroughs.
That is really a bad part of town, now, so if you choose to go, do it early in the day when it is light outside.

A democrat (or a republican) to ask him for money?
The Republicans in the House who happen to have had a “D” after their names were defeated in large numbers on tuesday.
I happen to feel good about that.
