(UPDATED!!!) WWL Interviews Noam Chomsky Jan 7

(9AM EST – promoted by Nightprowlkitty)

Bev gave me my choice of five dates, and I of course picked January 7th, the first Friday of the Year! His commute from the office will not have him there until 6:15, but there you have it!

A heads up to this kind population, before it scatters… so many beloved and brilliant people I will miss.

I have had the honor of talking via email with Noam Chomsky last night and today.

He is truly a warm and kind person, beyond being one of the most brilliant minds of the century.

He has agreed to talk to me on Wild Wild Left Radio after the first of the year, and had me contact his assistant to set up the specific date.

So stay tuned to The Wild Wild Left for details. It should be January, February latest.

I am not only honored, but touched by how kind his response has been to me. Kindness goes so very far.  He thinks she can get me in early January, or February if need be, but she really knows his dates better. He can agree, but she has to do the sticky work of fitting it in.

He absolutely wants to do this. He is just an amazing human being.

Friends, this is a gift. A huge gift for us all, to be able to ask questions of one of the greatest minds the Left has ever produced. It is a gift of information, knowledge and above all, wisdom.

It will be easier yet for me, because of his kind words thus far, and utter openness in responding to me… I already like him personally.

I will let you know as soon as Bev sets a definitive date.

But per Professor Chomsky’s choice, it is a done deal.

    Congrats

  1. Or, let me ask him.  I’d be glad to.  Nevermind.  It’s terribly more important to harshly interrogate the tenets of basic human inequality.  Chimps, dolphins, and parrots don’t even count.  I know: Chomsky is probably the greatest left-leaning intellectual this country has produced in many decades.  First things first.  The ape language issue is a minor fetish of mine, although I’d be happy to submit any questions in advance.  Moreover,

    Congrats, Diane.

  2. I am very curious about how the left ignores the creeping gloablism and why there are no Paul Craig Roberts or Catherine Austin Fitts of the left so to speak.

I appreciate your support, and am glad to offer this opportunity for we small time bloggers to have an hour of his time.
