A Nation Scorned.

Ah yes. Being female, as all females are e’er defined by this wrath made legend, I know this tale. No one endures scorn well, once they have involved their heart in another. The one thing the human psyche cannot abide is being ignored. Feeling unimportant. Worthless.

We patch the cracks of the agony of rejection by focusing on the minutia that is imperfect in the objects of our affection, trying to cover the pain of bereavement with anger. Any tiny flaw has to become more important than all the things that made us swoon, flaws that become our armor against knowing who we love do not value us.  For women never truly un-love once their heart has been taken, and it is far too easy to let the things we adored drag us back into the misery of missing what scorned us.

As any female can attest, men scorned are no different. Their methods are not the same, but their armor is twice as effective, and just as vicious ultimately. A woman who scorns a man ceases to exist to him. The difference, is that there is no way back to a man scorned.

So. What happens when a nation in its entire is scorned? Will we rage at the flaws, or turn our backs forever, when neither natural human reaction can be effective against the systematic disenfranchisement of a whole population?

Truth be told, we love our Country. No matter how jaded we are, how disillusioned we have felt, this is home. Our home. The place that once held promise, gave oath to our dreams of a future.

But where is my beloved Country? I feel like a shade in an alternate reality. I do not exist to my Country. Nor do you. We have been spurned, rejected, scorned.

PhotobucketI keep returning to the phrase, “Excess of Democracy” (1) that Noam quoted during my interview with him on WWL Radio from the book, “Crisis of Democracy. (2)”

The report argues that what is needed in the industrial democracies “is a greater degree of moderation in democracy” to overcome the “excess of democracy” of the past decade. “The effective operation of a democratic political system usually requires some measure of apathy and noninvolvement on the part of some individuals and groups.”  (1)

This is not something spewed forth from the mind of Leo Strauss, that this comes from the Carter administration absolutely proves to me that Americans themselves have been scorned completely by the Elite Class who rules us, a Uniparty in which “right” or “left” is merely a sham for our distraction.

In addition to increased campaign activity, there was “a marked upswing in other forms of citizen participation, in the form of marches, demonstrations, protest movements, and ’cause’ organizations…” There were “markedly higher levels of self-consciousness on the part of blacks, Indians, Chicanos, white ethnic groups, students, and women,” all seeking “their appropriate share of the action and of the rewards”.

“Previously passive or unorganized groups in the population now embarked on concerted efforts to establish their claims to opportunities, positions, rewards, and privileges, which they had not considered themselves entitled to before”.

“…the sixties also saw a reassertion of the primacy of equality as a goal in social, economic, and political life. The meaning of equality and the means of achieving it became central subjects of debate in intellectual and policy-oriented circles. What was widely hailed as the major philosophical treatise of the decade (Rawls, A Theory of Justice) defined justice largely in terms of equality”.

“The essence of the democratic surge of the 1960s was a general challenge to existing systems of authority, public and private. . . . People no longer felt the same compulsion to obey those whom they had previously considered superior to themselves in age, rank, status, expertise, character, or talents. Within most organizations, discipline eased and differences in status became blurred. . . . More precisely, in American society, authority had been commonly based on: organizational position, economic wealth, specialized expertise, legal competence, or electoral representativeness. Authority based on hierarchy, expertise, and wealth all, obviously, ran counter to the democratic and egalitarian temper of the times. . .”  (2 – my bold)

From the right, the idea of noble lies to control us, and the opiate of religion to keep us obedient.

From the left, working toward instilling institutionalized apathy and indebtedness toward the system.

We have been rejected entirely on every level from their game. I have written before just from my instinct, just from the empirical evidence in front of my face about how we the citizens were being neglected, if not spurned. I would guess one of the burdens in being the unwashed masses, an uneducated person, is still being able to be shocked when you find concrete evidence that everyone else knew about, for something you had concluded sans that evidence long ago.

It leaves me feeling lost.

It leaves me feeling like I just caught my boyfriend cheating on me in my own bed, even though the stink of perfume and lipstick smudges had already painted that theoretical picture. There is a wrench in my gut. Another veil torn from my perception, with no way of going back to any semblance of doubt.

They do NOT want us involved in the things that effect our lives. They do not want a Democracy. They are actually PUNISHING us intentionally for having made them (the elite class) give us some concessions in the 60’s.

They care nothing at all for our conditions, save making damned sure we are too frightened and “indoctrinated” to rise up for better conditions.

At our very core, we know this. It is why a Nation Scorned is producing human time bombs. It is why what may, at one time, perhaps generated a “you bastard, treat me better” letter is now producing a metaphoric burning bed, or trashed Audis. People are being pushed to lash out in agony. They don’t just ignore us, they laugh at our pain. They punish us intentionally.

It is conversely producing the opposite reaction as well in some. People who feel helpless who become (ala shock doctrine) apathetic, unable to process their horror if they think about the terms set upon them by an invisible and invincible master. They move to lives of quiet desperation, or distract themselves with base hedonistic pleasure. They have armored themselves and detached completely.

The very fact that education – the process by which humanity should advance into thinking, questioning, problem-solving beings has become “indoctrination for subservience” – that they use those very words to describe what they want that process to achieve is the most telling of all. An obedient populace? Our government is not a passionate lover, but an abusive parent.

Aided by the “sale of views” which the press has become, as so righteously chronicled by Professor John Kozy on these pages, we are indeed against a formidable opponent that has spurned us completely. We have no way to garner real truths. We are surrounded with intentional lies.

We need to start loving Ourselves more than our Country. Our Government has scorned us in every imaginable way. They don’t love us, never did love us, use us, and never shall love us, while demanding our Love and Oath to them at every turn.

We need an excess of Democracy. We need it Now. We need to give ourselves our Democracy, without asking their permission.

Men, women, children, every group they have tried to marginalize as irrelevant to their needs and futures, need to rise together and demand Democracy for Us All.

We need to be the gathering storm on that horizon, though the road is a long one. We need to be a thunderhead that blocks out the light until that light can shine equally on us all.

Hell hath no fury like a Nation Scorned.

Photobucket

And that storm is truly coming.

is a crippler to love of self – parallel ideas that never shall meet.

Love of self breeds democracy, a democracy your country does not wish you to have. Love yourselves.

  1. What did Chomsky put in your cornflakes?

  2. so left/right is the infotainment Project Mockingbird arm of the military-industrial-intelligence complex of now at war with each other secret above governments societies like the “Illuminati” which doesn’t exist.

In general I think Europe gets to sit out the next engineered disaster.  Take your pick between economic,WWIII, black plagues, no food, locusts sociopaths declaring martial law.  The potential disaster list grows daily.  But maybe the only thing which has to die here are old ways.  The very word Apocalypse means a great revealing and “They” are most definitely revealing themselves.

  3. BTW, here is a good (albeit, disgusting) article by Patrick Wood, “OBAMA: TRILATERAL COMMISSION ENDGAME,” explaining the Trilateral Commission, members, relationships/influences to those in government, etc.

    a snip:

. . . .For anyone who doubts the Commission’s continuing influence on Obama, consider that he has already appointed no less than nine members of the Commission to top-level and key positions in his Administration. . . . . . .

  4. I just am constantly amazed at how the citizenry of the USA stay scorned at themselves.

Tomorrow is MLK day.  Here in Memphis, my daughter and her husband have to work.  It is not a holiday.  My major client in North Mississippi (really South Memphis) is not letting his employees off either.  This is Memphis where King was assassinated, for Christ’s sake.

We have so much hate for our peers and seemingly none for those who truly oppress us.

And then out on our Southwest border, all they care about is keeping the illegals out of the country.

And here the blacks don’t like the Mexicans because the Mexicans take their jobs.

And the Jews are pissed at the far right Christians and vice- versa (though they seem to stand together temporarily for Middle East wars) and both seem to hate the Muslims.

And the South still hates the North and vice-versa and the West has no water and resents the fact that the East has water to spare.

There is scorn aplenty.  But that scorn is so well divided, and that division is so well fed, the chances that the scorn will ever be properly directed are almost nil.

We just much prefer to fight amongst ourselves.  We would much rather complain that the neighbor down the street got $20 too much in Food Stamps last month than complain that a CEO of Goldman got a fifty million dollar bonus.

Scorn aplenty.  But scorn ill served.

I think the oligarchs just don’t notice the rest of us except to the extent we can help them. I think they have an interest in keeping up some kind of prosperity so they can mine us for  money through manipulating our vulnerabilities through mass-hypnosis/mind-control regime that dominates us.

They don’t care enough for us to scorn us. We are numbers and that is stunningly obvious.
