What is the purpose of government? The public debate in America has once again turned to this all important question and for the first time in a long time, the country elected legislators last fall who adhere to a radically different view about the role of government than is the consensus. Most politicians-and voters-left and right agree that government should not only provide basic security but ensure a basic standard of living. Democrats favor more generous social provisions than their Republican counterparts but conservatives usually agree that government should extend a safety net to those who seem unable to fend for themselves.

He speaks of ideologies and the lack of persuasion, how Politics has become Religion, and how true Democracy is often not the true goal of the US elsewhere. He speaks of revolutionaries must never quit being revolutionary for true change to occur. Revolution is happening in the Middle East and has begun to spread. We need to heed John’s words!

But not only should have created more jobs and GDP growth, ronnynomic’s free trade trickle down investments from the top few percent huge growth in wealth con, with even huge tax cuts or no tax at all, called capitalism, in these past few years it should have started and been well established some thirty years ago. We should be the World Leader in the innovation and growth as we once were in most things done on this planet, even as detractors fought against advancements!
The idea’s of growth in going off the grid, so to speak, with things like solar and wind as well as other possibilities have been around for my decades of growing up and actually put into practice. I know as a multi tradesman in construction, residential and commercial, I was a part of those early installations and attempts. But the old money and established businesses stayed out of investing in and fought hard against advancing into the new thus keeping the costs and future innovations at bay or less then stagnant. Many older folks can remember when homes started sporting solar panels on their roofs and some carried that further and developed their own means of going off the grid, then it went dead, been around now for decades and talked about, argued, for as long.
Lets be honest, there have always been detractors as to new idea’s, inventions, advancements on the already established, etc., mostly coming from wealthy old guard established businesses and individual’s leading the arguments against for their already established means of wealth thinking apparently it was them, and not the workers, who created the growth and more that they profit from.
The arguments about ‘global warming’, purposefully misrepresented, reality ‘climate change’ the obvious, are the detraction’s put forth with force to lock the brakes on innovation and advancing society needs and a continually growing economy. Led by the old guard established business folks who know they can control a great number within a society with their brand of propaganda of false meme’s with their wealth.
The following just came out a few days ago and is getting some off the msm reporting.

In this final section, I’ll cover the portion of our talk in which we discussed the differences and distinctions in government between the House and Senate. Stevenson was a first-hand witness to their devolution for eleven years while a member of the Senate. Having won a special election in 1970 to serve out the remainder of a term vacated when a Senator died in office, Stevenson then won a full term in his own right. By its conclusion, burned out and disillusioned, he decided that nearly two full terms was enough for him. He instead returned to his home state of Illinois, preparing to run for Governor. That is quite a story in and of itself, and one I will leave for those who wish to read his new book, again titled simply, The Black Book.

Martin Chulov and Helen Pidd in Karlsruhe, The Guardian
Tuesday 15 February 2011 12.58 GMT
The defector who convinced the White House that Iraq had a secret biological weapons programme has admitted for the first time that he lied about his story, then watched in shock as it was used to justify the war.
The admission comes just after the eighth anniversary of Colin Powell’s speech to the United Nations in which the then-US secretary of state relied heavily on lies that Janabi had told the German secret service, the BND. It also follows the release of former defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s memoirs, in which he admitted Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction programme.
Janabi claimed he was first exposed as a liar as early as mid-2000, when the BND travelled to a Gulf city, believed to be Dubai, to speak with his former boss at the Military Industries Commission in Iraq, Dr Bassil Latif.
The Guardian has learned separately that British intelligence officials were at that meeting, investigating a claim made by Janabi that Latif’s son, who was studying in Britain, was procuring weapons for Saddam.
That claim was proven false, and Latif strongly denied Janabi’s claim of mobile bioweapons trucks and another allegation that 12 people had died during an accident at a secret bioweapons facility in south-east Baghdad.
The German officials returned to confront him with Latif’s version. “He says, ‘There are no trucks,’ and I say, ‘OK, when [Latif says] there no trucks then [there are none],'” Janabi recalled.

They Fled To Protect Their Rights
Senate adjourns, governor calls exodus a ‘stunt’ and expects holdouts to return
Wis. union vote on hold after Democrats leave state
Faced with a certain Republican victory that would end a half-century of collective bargaining for public workers, Wisconsin Democrats retaliated with the only weapon they had left: They fled.
Fourteen Democratic lawmakers disappeared from the Capitol on Thursday, just as the Senate was about to begin debating the measure aimed at easing the state’s budget crunch.
By refusing to show up for a vote, the group brought the debate to a swift halt and hoped to pressure Republicans to the negotiating table.
“The plan is to try and slow this down because it’s an extreme piece of legislation that’s tearing this state apart,” Sen. Jon Erpenbach said.

We have spent the past two years watching as insanity has gripped Congress, and even more so with Republicans now running the House.
We have a wavering President, far too many feckless Democrats, and Republicans that have decided to dive headfirst into total “insane mode” in a full-blown effort to destroy this country just as fast as possible.
To give but one example, in my own District, WA-08, we are represented by the absolutely useless Republican Dave Reichert, whose best-known legislative achievement is that he has virtually no record of any legislative achievement whatever.
Now we’ve had a very interesting relationship, you and I, over these past few years; in my efforts to “bring you the story” I’ve been a fake political consultant, a fake lobbyist, even a fake historian…and now, I think it’s time to try to bring our relationship to a new level.
And that’s why, America, I’m announcing my fake candidacy for Congress.
