Wisconsin’s protracted family fight over the budget and public employee unions moved to this Bayfield County town Saturday evening, as embattled Gov. Scott Walker spoke at an invitation-only event and was greeted by at least 2,000 angry protesters outside.

March 13, 2011 – Walker arrived in a convoy of six unmarked police cars that pulled up at

5:45 p.m. to the Steak Pit for a Republican Lincoln Day fundraiser. The large, boisterous crowd, which had been lining the streets leading to the restaurant since 4:30, quickly recognized him and erupted in boos and shouts of “Recall Walker.”

The convoy moved through quickly and without incident, and most of the protesters began to follow a circuitous route on public pathways to a spot behind the restaurant where they continued the protest within earshot of the Republican Party faithful inside. {continued}

Capitol Chaos: Hero’s Welcome for Returning Democrats

The protesters are now moving their focus on recalling Republican legislators.

And people like Ron Oliver, a Republican himself who claims to have voted for Walker, are joining the effort.

“I think it needs to be known that there are Republicans that disagree with this,” said Oliver. {continued}

“Wisconsin 14” Return To Thunderous Reaction

Fitzgerald Says Senate Dems Should Be Embarrassed

March 13, 2011 – The largest estimated crowd yet gathered outside of the Wisconsin state capitol Saturday as protesters continued to rally against Gov. Walker’s “budget repair bill,” despite this week’s passage of the bill in both the state assembly and state senate.

Madison police said between 85,000 and 100,000 people rallied together, making the fourth Saturday in a row that massive crowds have collected around the capitol.

Today’s rally was marked by an appearance by actor Tony Shaloub (TV’s Monk), another appearance by the Rev. Jesse Jackson, and the anticipated return of the “Wisconsin 14,” the 14 Democratic state senators who recently came back from three weeks in Illinois where they stayed while stalling a vote on Gov. Walker’s bill.

The Democrats said they’ll now shift their energy toward recall efforts already under way against some GOP colleagues. “I don’t think anyone knew what they were getting in this election,” said Sen. Mark Miller, the Senate Minority Leader from Monona. “They want a do-over.”

“While we were gone, democracy failed in so many ways,” said Sen. Lena Taylor of Milwaukee. “I’m excited to be back to help.”

“As we trade our rally signs for clipboards, as we head to the streets to recall the Republicans, in one year we will recall the governor that refuses to listen to you,” said Larson. {continued}

Wisconsin Farmers Tractorcade {this site doesn’t do youtube ‘iframe’ hope that link works

How many people showed up for the March 12, 2011 workers’ rights rally in Madison, Wisconsin? Estimates range all over the board, but it was a huge number. Look at the shot from this crane by The UpTake’s Matt Johnson. There is a river of people all the way down State Street.

And “No!” President Obama nor any of his administration should join in these “People’s Grassroots Actions” and play the palin, beck, bachmann money or so called political grifter game!!

That would suck the air out of what’s really going on and the so called mainstream media would follow the FOX lead as they did with the oh so called outraged citizen teabaggers!!

If you’re one of some calling for more Administration involvement you can only be labeled as a shill for the tepublicans as you’re carrying their tea filled buckets or bags!
