The day after Kristallnacht my boss tells me to essentially mind my own business when someone comes in to talk with either of my two co-workers. More to the story but I am 56, come with extensive experience in the industry and I seldom forget to put on deoderant. Co-workers however are still stuck in jr high school.
It has been a hostile workplace but outside of the boundaries of conventional PC. Guess I am screwed again. Yup, this is the military-industrial complex place stuck in yesterday’s technology, complete with lofty sounding mission statements and ethically correct business buzzwords. The reality though, third world 1970’s equipment, a rule system written by Khafka/Pavlov or maybe BF Skinner himself.

Yes, I have an actual real degree in Business Administration from a Boston University, real patents in the US and european patent offices plus automation and programming experience. I can document the faults in procedure, equipment design and business pracitices by which this site of this formerly well known military defense contractor shall remain a dying entity making inferior products under the banner of their former glory days. I am working at one tenth my capacity watching paint dry in the military spec prescribed way. The kid who was hired with me has become a permanent employee simply because his temp agency got him at a lower rate. I was there to save a half million dollar machine when he lacked the science background to understand the immediate danger.

In January my wife’s workplace “goes non-smoking”. It is after all a health related facility but the socially engineered fascist conditioning fascinates me personally. Her co-workers are harassing her already about “what are you going to do now”. Now these people have not had a cost of living raise in four years. Mere possetion of a cell phone while on company property is an immediate firing offense(long witch hunt story here), the company policy is draconian bordering on Alice in Wonderland meets Satan’s hightest ranking minion yet this younger generation obviously has little respect or concern for someone who has experienced far more years in life and might bre able to provide some guidance of an egalitarian nature. I call it the Homeboy stupidity carcinoma, that third generation of suburbia on video games and MTV’s Cancun Spring Break Girls Gone Wild. Can even Andrea Rossi’s cold fusion free energy generator fix this. You can not be allowed to live in a dwelling which does not have insurance company payout saving smoke, carbon monoxide detectors, fences around swimming pools, trampolines, agressive species of dogs, bicycle helmets, safety glasses, seatbelts,home businesses, non-certified septic disposal systems, green Chinese made light bulbs and Purelle dispensers at the kitchen sink.
I kind of doubt it now. We, humans are defective as a species and the question now is just how many of us might survive the war between good and evil, deception and truth, and how do I best rally the ones I love to ensure survival of the most immediate of family members and their middle classness nobody can afford no more. Well yes because the longer people stay at/work for this place the farther down the said military-industrial Pavlovian conditioning syndrome they go. Until they actually start taking no initiative on their own. Really there is a thesis on abnormal psych at work here.
