Extreme Measures

The first commandment of Fight Church is you do not talk about Fight Church.

The second commandment of Fight Church is you DO NOT talk about Fight Church.

Welcome to Fight Church.  Long past time I moved this franchise anyway.

I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who’ve ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don’t need. We’re the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War’s a spiritual war… our Great Depression is our lives. We’ve all been raised on television to believe that one day we’d all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won’t. And we’re slowly learning that fact. And we’re very, very pissed off.

So, who’s on this week?

The Daily Show

The Colbert Report

Elizabeth Warren is slightly better than your run-of-the-mill DC politician in that she at least pays lip service to working for her voters and not corporations.

Her biggest problem is that she’s a active promoter of Charter Schools which are merely a tool to destroy teacher’s unions and allow more corporate sucking at the taxpayer’s tit while not doing a single thing to improve educational outcomes that can not be explained by selective enrollment and cheating.

Oh and she votes Republican too and did so exclusively until 1995.

George Will is just a miserable waste of breath who’s devotion to Baseball does nothing to redeem him.  Ty Cobb loved Baseball too.

Really the only question of any interest about him is why someone who has been so wrong for so long even has a job let alone the sinecure of a regular column in Izvestia (or is it Pravda, I always get those two mixed up) and a regular seat on This Week with the Clinton Toady Horrified by Blow Jobs.  The less said about him the better.

So is this ripped from today’s headlines or what?

A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don’t do one.

Are there a lot of these kinds of accidents?

You wouldn’t believe.

Which car company do you work for?

A major one.

Hard to believe it was 1999.
