Welcome to The Breakfast Club! We’re a disorganized group of rebel lefties who hang out and chat if and when we’re not too hungover we’ve been bailed out we’re not too exhausted from last night’s (CENSORED) the caffeine kicks in. Join us every weekday morning at 9am (ET) and weekend morning at 10:30am (ET) to talk about current news and our boring lives and to make fun of LaEscapee! If we are ever running late, it’s PhilJD’s fault.
Below the fold may be a bit abbreviated or, quite possibly, this may be the WISYWIG Edition of TBC. I’m unexpectedly on the road this weekend, so blogging is spotty at best. Have Fun.

Breakfast Tunes
The only thing you really need to know this Sunday is that yesterday Brazil defeated Chile in a tie braking shootout and Columbia bounced Uruguay in the same manner sending the rest of Luis Suárez teammates home.
Today’s games are between Netherlands and Mexico at Noon EDT and, at 4 PM EDT, Costa Rico takes on Greece. All are broadcast live on ABC.
Only six European nations made it through to the knock out round, so the World Cup is dominated by African nations and the Americas.
In case you’re interested, there is Wimbledon. Once again Serena Williams is knocked out by an underdog on Saturday. Her sister Venus was eliminated on Friday. The guys? Well it’s the usual round of grunting suspects advancing so far.
Question: Where did the last six month’s go?
There is no play scheduled on Sunday, ever.
