Racism: Catch It!

I thought we were going to fix the sound.  We did.

The real news and next week’s guests below.

Oh, I couldn’t pass up this one-

Don’t drive angry.

Next week’s guests-

The Daily Show

The Colbert Report

Matt Bai is an Alex P. Keaton wanna be from his pink shirts with contrasting white collars to his skinny tie and brief case (can’t wear the pants, he’s a little pear shaped) without any of the endearing qualities like intellegence or a smidge of empathy.  An outstanding example of Krugman’s warning

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

he worships at the Temple of St. Ronnie, the Senile Traitor.  Those who imagine him a Democrat or progressive in any way simply don’t know him.  Don’t believe me?  He’s shopping a script about Chandra Levy and not Lori Klausutis who was actually found dead in Joe Scarborough’s Fort Walton Beach office.

It’s “Chandra-Chandra-Chandra” with the occasional “Condit is just like Clinton” thrown in. Given our media’s 24/7 obsession with the Gary Condit “scandal”, you might assume that there is a real dearth of hard news to pursue.

In reality, there is indeed a news story percolating out there. The story bears remarkable and ironic similarities to the Condit/Levy story. Both involve Congressmen, rumors of infidelity, and the fate of a younger female subordinate. The details are so similar as to remind one of two alternate universes. The difference between the two stories? First, in the Klausutis case as not in the Levy case, there is a real body, very dead. Second, the Klausutis case involves a Republican.

Thankfully cashiered from his lofty platform at The New York Times he now inflicts himself on us mostly through the Internet like the regular old bloggers he despises, most frequently at Yahoo (Yahoo does original content?  Who knew?  Way to fail upward to new depths of obscurity).  His big book, The Argument, is available for a penny at Amazon (even the collectible editition is $2.62), but you still have to pay for shipping and handling.  He’ll be whoring his new opus All the Truth Is Out: The Week Politics Went Tabloid which (wait for it…) rehashes the Gary Hart story because Bai’s political conciousness stopped evolving in the ’80s.

You see, it was Monica-gate before Monica!  Brilliant!

Matt only wishes he could get someone as hot as Monica because he’s no Bill Clinton.  And why is this emission squeezed out at this particular time?  Could it be… Hillary?

I’m no fan of hers, but she deserves a worthier foe than this insignificant ankle-biting scrivener too cowardly to attack except by 3 levels of indirection.  He’s such a mush bucket he can’t even get a decent gig on Faux collecting that wingnut welfare (hey, Bethesda is not cheap).

Jamie Oliver doesn’t actually appear unclothed on The Naked Chef though you do get the impression that they’re about to come off any time after he lures his guests up to his flat.  He’s still on his healthy cooking kick (which does not mean eating less well) and is probably on to promote his new show Jamie & Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast.
