Allison Williams is a Nutmegger and the daughter of Brian Williams.  She was lead in the disasterous Peter Pan Live! (When I Went Home was cut for a reason), but is probably on to talk about the upcoming season of Girls.

    There was an elderly homeless man sitting near the entrance to the grocery store. I asked him if he had a place to go to get out of the cold tonight. He said he didn’t want to go to a shelter. I asked “how about the ferry terminal? It’s at least warm, even if you ride the ferry all night.” He said he had no way to get there. So, I got him a $10 metrocard. I also told him that Project Hospitality, a private group that cares for the homeless, checks the terminal every couple of hours to reach out to those in need of food and shelter. He wasn’t aware of the group. I told him that they are good people, not a city agency, and could get him something more permanent.

    When I got home I called my friend who runs the group, told her where this man was. She said she would send someone out to at least get him shelter for tonight.
