Frankly the Rangers have been a stain on Baseball ever since they were the Washington Senators, unimproved by the part ownership of W who may or may not make an appearance at today’s game.
Unfortunately they have the best record in the Junior League (95 – 67) which is why they face the Wild Card winning Blue Jays. (89 – 73) instead of the Red Sox or Indians.
Still, it’s potentially a good match up. Last year the Blue Jays came from 2 Down to win 3 straight and the series, so anything is possible. The Jays have to be somewhat tired from their 11 inning win against the Orioles and the Rangers are well rested.
Cole Hamels (L, 15 – 5, 3.32 ERA) will start for the Rangers, Marco Estrada (, 9 – 9, 3.48 ERA) takes the hill for the Blue Jays.
I’ll not be around for most of this game, but I’ll provide a summary like the one below-

Bottom 2nd- Solo Shot. Blue Jays 1 – 0.
Top 4th- Leadoff Single. Sacrifice. 2 Run HR. Orioles 2 – 1.
Bottom 5th- Ground Rule Double. Double, Runners at 2nd and 3rd. RBI Single. Tied at 2.
Bottom 11th- Single. Single, Runners at Corners. 3 Run HR. Blue Jays 5 – 2
