Klein and Corbyn

I don’t mind saying that The Intercept is a publication we much admire around these parts not only for their stellar cast of writers like Dave Dayen, Glenn Greenwald, and Jeremy Scahill, but also for their integrity. They recently acquired the services of Naomi Klein of Disaster Capitalism fame and it is a spectacular addition.

Ms. Klein sat down with Jeremy Corbyn (another one of my favorite people), head of the British Labour Party, the other day and it’s well worth watching.

Alexandra Rosenmann of AlterNet summarizes 5 lessons she took away from the discussion-

  1. Work backward from the worst-case scenario.
  2. Do not retreat from Trumpism.
  3. Shift focus to cities.
  4. Develop a strong social presence.
  5. Understand the world’s crises are connected.
