NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament 2019: Regional Finals Day 2

More Spoilers!

Louisville did not turn out to be the challenge I had feared, UCLA was a much tougher opponent.

In fact, if there isn’t a fluke rising by a second tier program, it’s very hard to see anyone standing between UConn and another National Championship except Baylor.

Thus tonight’s games, except for the Baylor one, are a matter of supreme indifference. You could argue that a Stanford Team that can pull out a victory against Muffy might be a threat but for me it’s simply a question of lose now or lose later for both of them. If Baylor sticks around we’ll see them in the Finals, no earlier than that, and they gave us a 9 point drubbing on January 3rd, the same margin as Louisville’s victory. Having Mississippi State out of the mix clarifies things a good deal.

So, Go Huskies!

Muffie should take fashion tips from the Baylor and Iowa coaches. She is wearing a red/orange pant suit with with a light melon colored blouse, unfortunately with high heels. The Iowa is also wearing slacks, black with a grey jacket. with a black scoop neck shirt, her shoes are black and low heeled.

Notre Dame coach needs to stop crouching on the sidelines wearing short skirts with high heels Tonight she’s wearing a black jacket over a lack sheet dress with a white pattern; a short, bright red beaded necklace and matching red beaded dangling earrings and, of course high heels. Not a bad outfit if you’re going to dinner

The Stanford coach is wearing a black with white stars long sleeved button shirt with a collar, black slacks and sensible shoes for being court side.

    Halftime

Stanford is proving more than a match for Notre Dame. Although a close scoring game, the lead has been consistently with the California team who have scored 4 of the 11 3pt thrown.

    #1 Notre Dame 26 – #2 Stanford 33

The ESPN2 commentators are nicely dressed. On the far left, Debbie is wearing a plum colored, three quartered sleeve wrap dress, no jewelry. Next to her is Nell who is wearing a black long sleeved blouse that looks like a very soft, draping fabric. Next to her, Courtney is wearing a high waisted, v-neck blue dress with a draping half sleeve.

The sole gentleman on the panel, Andy, is wearing a black suit with a dark red patterned tie, blue shirt and light blue pocket square.

  1. Go Stanford! halftime 33-26.

I agree with you that high heels on the court are weird, but a lot of the women coaches like to wear them. Tara is always a conservative dresser and I don’t think I’ve ever seen her in high heels.

so Baylor is in, we’ll see if Ek is right and tonight’s winner doesn’t matter.
