and see Chris Wallace talk about John Kennedy, who used to be a Democrats, and how, “a fella I know called Karl Rove recruited him to run,” against Landrieu….

not a good sign, i really thought Obama would do better in this county. it’s my unofficial unscientific go-to-missouri county for baseline temperature.
still waiting for the real red rurals.
however, Kansas City and St. Louis…. they’ll rock.
of really good Oregon Pinot Noir. If I were president, that would be something I’d check on first thing in the morning. It is really way, way, way too expensive except for special occasions.
this is VERY disappointing. not only is Sam Graves a slimy ass in league with the devil and Kit Bond, Kay Barnes is, well, she’s Kay Barnes, former mayor of Kansas City and one of the more well-known Dem women pols. very sad about this.
howard fineman says: some republicans put robocalls in cuban community today telling them that fidel castro has endorsed Obama and it didn’t work… Obama expected to get 35 percent of cuban vote and cubans, among other hispanics, decided not to be scared and go with the new guy… gore and clinton out of sight… turning the page, generational change… all about a new generation and new coalition… he talked to john mccain’s closest friend… they knew where this was headed: i don’t know really know what we could have done differently…
…and my friends don’t start calling me eyore. A friend just emailed to ask if I was feeling better and I said “Dewey”.
Is it possible it’s really going to be all right? After watching these smug, vile swine win in every election in which I’ve been able to vote (except clinton, we can talk about his swinitude in rough, relative terms). Is it really, truly possible?
And…will it actually result in a society that has anything to do with me or mine? Wait…I’ll think about that tomorrow….
Fox News has the best bottom of the screen updating scoreboard….it’s readable, and has two races shown side by side, so you can see a state tally on the prez level at the same time as another downticket race.
Worst, by far, is ABC, with some bizarro system by which some of the panels change from left to right, and some flip top to bottom, and it’s so distracting, I can’t even concentrate on the score being showed before it flips out again.
…(I think it was Mark Crispin MIller) reported that 2 days ago Karl Rove was ridiculing the polls which showed Obama ahead. Yesterday, however, Connell (can’t remember his first name now, but the IT guru who was mainly responsible for ’04 voter hacking) gave his testimony before the FBI. Evidently, his attempted “non-testimony” was quite damming, causing Rove to change his prognostics re polling inaccuracies to say instead that Obama would win by a landslide.
This sounds almost unbelievable to me, but I did hear it. Even if I keep asking myself, “Really?”
Rachel says Obama will, if exit polls to be believed, carry white voters by 10 points… Bush carried them by 17 points she said
Buchanan says he doesn’t believe it and that Obama is carrying black voters 20 to 1 and hispanic 2 to 1… but then he says McCain lost the college educated investor class. ya think pat?
rachel is making a case that perhaps we shouldn’t believe what we’re told about the racial divide… because we the people are voting for barack!!!
i just hope obama wins by 10 million votes. 20. no 30 million.
Not doing well in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. 55% yes to 45% no in Ventura County (39% in), similar numbers in Santa Barbara County. We’re only about 2M population, maybe 300k voters between the two Counties, though. I haven’t seen numbers from the areas that will really matter: LA, San Diego and the SF Bay Area.
This sucks, so far. But I haven’t started packing my bags, either.
2) Election not decided by hackers or by the Supreme Court
3) McCain not allowed near the White House.
OK, now let’s take a look at it:
Democrats: twenty-eight years of no vision, thus either electoral defeat or “victory” in light of poor Republican showing. (And then there were spoiler candidates such as Ross Perot, who gave us Bill Clinton.)
Twenty-eight years of the “Washington Consensus,” aided and abetted by Democrats.
Obama wants us all to “work together.” Are we going to “work together” to be screwed by the rich and powerful few, or are we going to “work together” in demanding something from America in light of our always-hard labors?

Wolfie: “We report that.”
