A perfect example of what Budhy wrote about in Pundits Are Trying to Steal the Election: Push Back!! yesterday.
RNC Chair Mike Duncan tries immediately to quash the idea of an Obama mandate from Tuesdays election, while Howard Dean revs up the “bipartisanship” meme.
The charade continues. Both are trying to “own” the election. At your expense.

wafting from the east, across the atlantic ocean, is mine…
who the fuck are they talking to anyway? it’s like there’s a pretend audience out there.
it’s time to break that fourth wall.
You’re a Republican and you can’t win Omaha?!
Are you freaking kidding me?
I’ll say it again: Omaha. Nebraska.
that’s a mandate.
yeah right. 😀
This reconciliation trope is making me nervous. I’m very much for conciliation and compromise. But first I want some truth before there is reconciliation. If the Dems allow the Republicans to get away with the huge stunning lies that would have embarrassed Stalin then this election will be only a very minor improvement–so the criminally insane won’t run the country–the sane criminals will.
BTW, I think Obama is great–but he is an operator and a very Machiavellian politician and I trust him to at least try to give some relatively (very relatively) honest government–but he is surrounded by real barracudas.
Of course he’s going to say that. They’re pretending that people don’t see it otherwise, but the truth is people see it otherwise, we elected Obama, and that’s why he has to speak teh stupid.
Spin, spin, spin, on either side. I want 20 sides, I want fist fights on the floor of Congress. I want lobbyists drawn and quartered, I want equal righte for all. I want a lot of things….
