Morning Moonbeams

There’s a Feeling I Get When I Look to the West

And My Spirit is Crying for Leaving.

Last night New York City had a very cloudy sky but the full moon still had a presence in the reflection of the Hudson River, just a glimmer of brightness. When I woke up way to early the clouds were beginning to break up as false dawn approached.

The sky began to brighten.

Then brighten some more.

The sky clears up completely.

For a close up view.

Meanwhile back in the east.

As the wolf moon is the brightest.

This is starting to look like a beautiful New York City day.

A little more light from the sun.

And the moon begins to fade, gone before it sets.

Good morning from New York.

It is shaping up to be a real fine Sunday here in the Big Apple.

I hope it is the same where you are.

It is not new but I really don’t follow music anymore.

I heard of it during the closing credits of a very funny and home town movie “Ghost Town.”

This was the other song in the credits.

I definitely need to get out more.

  1. It was cloudy and foggy here.  Really nice pictures!!!  The church in the foreground makes the perspective.  Is the view from your home?

    Just Breath

  2. This moon was so impressive, even as it was waxing, that it totally had me in it’s grip!  Full moons are usually inspirational, but there was some special magic put into this one, so much so that it was hard to get back inside by the woodstove!  Thank you for the photos!  They are lovely.
