  3. Also today, BP is asking to have more than 70 lawsuits over the Gulf oil spill consolidated before a federal judge in Houston.

    The oil giant is asking the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to have U.S. District Judge Lynn Hughes to hear pretrial matters for all the cases.

    Potential class-action lawsuits have been filed in every Gulf Coast state. Plaintiffs include commercial fishermen, business interests, property owners and others.

    Lawyers for some plaintiffs want a New Orleans judge to hear the cases.

  4. who encouraged to watch todays Ed Show… segment on BP Oil Disaster. (I always miss Ed). So its really good, she says. Im just starting it. It is TOTALLY worth clicking if for nothing else, the Three Stooges clip in it. lol. (near the beginning)

    With growing acrimony over BP’s handling of the spill, paired with this weekend’s failure to place a dome over the leak, company officials are already acknowledging that the junk shot option offers only a marginal chance of success. And experts have warned that any further damage to the blowout preventer …snip… could cause the oil to start shooting out at up to 12 times the current rate.

    That’s right, up to 12 Xs the  current rate.  Somebody, stop these idiots before they do any more damgae!
