“New markets for our goods stretch from Asia to the Americas”
“…we have not done what is necessary to shore up the foundation of our own prosperity. We have spent over a trillion dollars at war, often financed by borrowing from overseas. This, in turn, has short-changed investments in our own people, and contributed to record deficits. For too long, we have put off tough decisions on everything from our manufacturing base to our energy policy to education reform. As a result, too many middle class families find themselves working harder for less, while our nation’s long-term competitiveness is put at risk.”
that will eventually find its way right into Afghanistan. And it took just 10 years to make ourselves at home with our new neighbors China and Iran. Not bad geopolitical maneuvering considering we were originally only after two guys, Saddam and Osama. Makes one really wonder.
And I love the idea of a militarized state department with their own drones.
however it’s not at all convincing. He was much better before he won because he only had to tap into the need for change and audacity. He said what people wanted to hear. Now he just pisses me off. I was watching a clip of Bush talking about the war and trying to decide which one of them was more unbearable to watch and listen too. The longer he’s in office the more I find his speeches intolerable. He lies like a rug. I have just quit listening, what’s the point their going to do whatever the puppetmaster’s tell them too and no amount of articulate double speak can cover the lies and evil. The speech he gave when he got the peace prize was a jaw dropper. I think it’s worse to hear this insanity from someone who isn’t a total idiot. The war isn’t over it’s simply gone into occupation mode.
