All stanzas are continuous quotes from President Bush’s December 4, 2007 Press Conference.

if Iran shows up with a nuclear weapon at some point in time, the world is going to say, what happened to them in 2007? How come they couldn’t see the impending danger? What caused them not to understand that a country that once had a weapons program could reconstitute the weapons program? How come they couldn’t see that the important first step in developing a weapon is the capacity to be able to enrich uranium? How come they didn’t know that with that capacity, that knowledge could be passed on to a covert program? What blinded them to the realities of the world? And it’s not going to happen on my watch, Mark.

I’m a fan of poetry, particularly about Larry Craig and impeachment.
The “feeling pretty good about life” quote makes me sick. The whole thing does basically. But that’s not your fault LC – it’s how I always react to W.
I do love the way you put this together.
how hard it is to fight against somebody who basically says nothing 99% of the time.
reaganesque in its magnitude.
…or does he look more like Pat Roberts with every passing year?
I wonder if Bush would even understand what you wrote?
now over the years I guess I have gotten used to being lied to. But there was something about reading the reaction from vets that startled me. Truely. I felt, for a split second, that I was going to puke or cry or both

Bush & Cheney was dangerous, is dangerous, and will be dangerous.
That’s pretty clear, so don’t mischaracterize what I’m sayin.
