I just watched and want to recommend an excellent documentary entitled “The Secret”. From this documentary’s web-site, they describe this film as…
The Secret reveals the most powerful law in the universe. The knowledge of this law has run like a golden thread through the lives and the teachings of all the prophets, seers, sages and saviors in the world’s history, and through the lives of all truly great men and women. All that they have ever accomplished or attained has been done in full accordance with this most powerful law.
Without exception, every human being has the ability to transform any weakness or suffering into strength, power, perfect peace, health, and abundance.
I rented the DVD from Netflix, so while the kids were at school today, I sat and took notes while pausing and going back so as to not miss one iota of information. My life and my husband’s life are in the midst of transformation and I knew I needed to listen to what was being presented to me. My husband was getting ready for a job interview when I started the video, he was very impressed immediately and took with him just a small piece of the larger puzzle. And with that alone, he was offered an excellent job, because of his enthusiasm. We watched the movie twice today, I’ve reread my notes, now I am retyping my thoughts about this and the phone rings, job number two on the line. Which is amazing in and of itself, if you knew our current financial status, you’d agree.
“The ideas we build will determine the vibration we’re in and the vibration we’re in will dictate the energy that we attract to us. Now think about what you really want.”
If you want to watch this amazing documentary, you can pay $4.95 to view it online on their web-site. But, you can watch the first twenty minutes on youtube for free. I recommend EVERYONE see this film, these are things we know deep down to be true, but to hear it again reinforces our knowledge of life. I know these things to be true, but have not recognized it’s full potential.
“Your life is a physical manifestation of the thoughts that go on in your mind.”

…and I like the idea of positive change through boldness, initiative, setting goals…but…sorry…I find the secret deeply disturbing (in the nicest possible terms), another expression of the american idea that if we want it bad enough, we can have it. And the thing is, for a lot of people…all the vibrational resonance in the world is not going to help.
‘the secret’ was all the rage with the oprah crowd when the book came out…and in THAT context it came off as a materialistic thing (which the spiritual nauture of the approach seems to belie), and i never looked into it further..
also, i have read many other amazing books in this genre, and recommend ‘three magic words’ by uell andersen (also u.s. andersen)
Old Idea.

“Be Here Now”
My ideal society is when we reach that “Powder” 100th monky moment and we are all empathic to eachother and there is no other.
Haven’t read “Oprah” version, though I heard the hype, but on your rec, I’ll watch it, sister friend… just because like anything, you take away what you put in, or take away the best & forget the rest!
Love you,
Diane
about themselves is ok to me
The Secret and know nothing about it… but… if it works (and it sounds like it did!) for you and your husband, Kris, then hey! that’s all the criteria that counts! (imo) 🙂
we will see what happens. One thing I can say is that I feel very positive and i haven’t for a long time
