Last night, 3-21-08, on the PBS Bill Moyers Journal, Bill talked
with Phil Donahue and Ellen Spiro on the true cost of war and their documentary, BODY OF WAR
The filmmakers talk about Iraq war veteran Tomas Young who was shot and paralyzed less than a week into his tour of duty. Three years in the making, BODY OF WAR tells the poignant tale of the young man’s journey from joining the service after 9/11 to fight in Afghanistan, to living with devastating wounds after being deployed to Iraq instead.
BODY OF WAR
The official site for the documentary includes behind-the-scenes photos, video and a listing of showings in the U.S.

Award winning.
Thanks Phil Donohue and Bill Moyers.
Thanks Jim for writing about it.
I watched Moyers show today online. I wish I had a clip of the debate in congress prior to the iraq war to send around. The republicans were parroting Bush’s talking points and a few brave democrats were asking questions such as: how much is it going to cost? What will happen with the sectarian divisions in Iraq? How many US soldiers will dies? Why rush to war — do we know if Saddam is really a threat?
McCain was among the parrots. We shouldn’t let anyone forget it, either.
