DC protest pictures

I have an Albert Einstein daily quote gadget on my iGoogle page…

~ The release of atomic power has changed everything except our way of thinking … the solution to this problem lies in the heart of mankind. If only I had known, I should have become a watchmaker. ~

I have too much and too little to say and I’ve been trying since I got home to say both….

It’s not really going well…so instead here are some pictures….

I wish we could do it every day until the war ended, the criminals in our government gave themselves up to face justice, and the American people took back the nation that only they (we) have any right to.

Great pics VC.  I’ll be posting mine within the next few days.

  3. last one’s great.

discouraging to see they’re letting Homeland Security have their own forces, though. I didn’t know that.

    pictures speak a thousand….

I love the pic of the gentleman from VFP holding the megaphone, the look on his face is so powerful and the girl in the green jacket in the background holding her camera, looking not through the camera but taking in the moment for herself…

All of the pics are excellent and gives the reader (me, us) the true sentiment of the protest as it should be, somber, serious, powerful, and peaceful.

Thank you for sharing these V.C. and thank you for being there for us!!!

Thank you and everyone else who was there.  I wish the trek out to DC wasn’t so far, and I could make it more often.  You all are doing a great service.

  4. Are you sure about the word count?  What a trip!

Agreed about the sit in – a general strike might get more numbers overall but surely a smaller number of squatters would be noticed if they were all located in DC.  Considering it makes me realize how difficult it is to make this kind of sacrifice even if it means that potentially lives will be saved.

I think we should pass this idea on to ANSWER, UPJ et al and try to collect info and build interest.  Will send some emails tomorrow.

so late to this. the rainy feel to the day, oppressive clouds, and the veteran picture (with the young girl looking so intently) really captured a lot.  thanks.
