I know, I know, I’m completely out of control.
Can someone explain this explanation to me?
Why a plane that left the gate 20 minutes late, arrives 48 minutes late:
Explanation
Arrival delay calculation based on comparing actual gate time with scheduled gate time.
Departure delay calculation based on comparing actual gate time with scheduled gate time.

Sadly, blueberries seem to be the priority here.
On with the pointless essay. So, I have Chopin as my ringtone on my cellphone because the other options are really bad, plus the chicks really dig it. So, after about a year and a half, I was wondering which hot Chopin tune it was. Searching you-tube I saw this.
Richter plays Chopin Revolutionary Etude
HOLY FUCK! I lost interest in what ringtone I had.
(and a great exchange in the comments)

so, what is this Etude thingy about?
The étude appeared around the same time as the November Uprising in 1831. Chopin was unable to take an active part in the uprising due to his physical frailty, and allegedly he poured his emotions on the matter into many pieces that he composed at that time – the Revolutionary Étude standing out as the most famous example. Upon conclusion of Poland’s failed revolution against Russia, he cried “All this has caused me much pain. Who could have foreseen it!”[1]

The November Uprising (1830-1831)-also known as the Cadet Revolution-was an armed rebellion against the rule of the Russian Empire in Poland and Lithuania. The uprising began on November 29, 1830 in Warsaw when a group of young non-commissioned officer conspirators from the Imperial Russian Army’s military academy in Warsaw directed by Piotr Wysocki revolted. They were soon joined by large parts of Polish society. Despite several local successes, the uprising was eventually crushed by a numerically superior Russian army under Ivan Paskevich.

this particular étude is all about left hand dexterity, consistency, and speed. It’s a bitch to play. But also fun, because the majority of études seem to focus on the right hand (check out his “Winter Wind” or “Butterfly”, for example).
I played this one in a recital once, but there’s no way I could pull it off now.
(Did you ever find that ringtone? Odds are good it’s the Nocturne in E flat, op. 9 no. 9. That’s his most popular work.)
One of my favorite etudes (etude means “geting down and funky” right?) —
