I’m never gonna have a “cool” job with the Democrats.  

Not with this “blogging” thing anyways.

Maybe it’s because I told my local Democratic Committee to “go fuck themselves” when they told me they couldn’t elect a Democrat on Long Island if they pushed a “pro-immigrant” platform.

Or it might be the fact I’m currently shitting on 13 of their own and they might see that as a bad thing.

Also I can’t keep my mouth shut and pledge undying allegiance to….well…any elected official or party.

I got this thing where I care about the people in a country and I’m skeptical of the people that want their vote for power.

I’m thinking big , i’m supposed to do something, but I have no idea what.  

I just know that whatever I’m supposed to do doesn’t involve money as a motivation.

I’m not alone, but sometimes it feels like i’m the only one I can trust…

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are reporting a significant rise in the number of suicide attempts and threats compared to this time last year, and mental health advocates say effects of the economy are to blame.

In just the first 18 days of April, CMPD answered 81 reports of a suicide attempt or threat, that’s up 55 percent from the 52 reports in that time last year.

Mental health advocates say they’ve seen the same spike in patients with suicidal thoughts. With most of the calls recently to counselors with the Mecklenburg County Mobile Crisis Team, the feelings of hopelessness and the effects of the economy go hand-in-hand.

“(They tell us that) that they’ve lost their health care, their unemployment benefits are about to run out,” said Bill Cook, of the mobile crisis team.
