Pony Party: Cowboys and Cowgirls
I went to our local county fair last week to take some pictures. It is “goat themed” and there is an emphasis on rodeo and old timey things. The fair is free and there is plenty of really bad food to eat. I managed to get a sunburn and spill mustard down the front of my jeans from the sausage concoction piled high with condiments and onions, so by that measure it was a success….

Coyote et alii can overcome bad juju from the software geeks.

Pony Party: Lobbyists for McCain
Billionaires for Bush is back: Join Lobbyists for McCain.
Some of you know that I am a huge fan of public art. Street theater included. The best street theater troupe that arose during the past 8 years, imho, is Billionaires for Bush.
Aaaaaand…they’re back! They’ve renamed themselves Lobbyists for McCain but it’s the same group, now with even more biting video. This first one is just a teaser:

Pony Party
Well. There is nothing going on in calico land. While the east coast is getting hit we are enjoying 73 degree weather in Tennessee.
A few random pictures…..
Turkeys in the pasture…. They have figured out that the fence keeps the dogs from chasing them. We have figured out that the dog recognizes the word “turkey”, so the thing to do is say to him “where are the turkeys” and he runs to the door and outside.
One of the great hunters in the household tribe, he brought me a dead snake while I was cooking dinner this week….
I think the humming birds have mostly migrated to their winter home but I caught one hanging out…
No big plans for me this weekend. I am watching season three of DaVinci’s Inquest courtesy of Netflix. Awesome Canadian show but &*^%$# CBC hasn’t released the other seasons because I think it still might be in syndication somewhere. I am in love with Nicholas Campbell.
