Pony Party… Haiku Edition
I’m sure you already know…. don’t wRECk the pony party
So… (I recently learned from davidseth this is a jewish way to start a paragraph!)
Nightprowlkitty had a neat essay about haiku’s, or pops…. and since I had nothin’….
I thought I’d try to continue the puppy theme with my haiku effort.
(I want to warn you I’m pisspoor at poetry & don’t remember the rules of haiku!)
Your haiku’s can be about anything, of course… and you don’t have to haiku.
tumbling growling running
wet noses, sloppy kisses
Puppy pile up
fur-people friends
understand everything
yet never think worse of you
soft and good to burble on
rotund replete asleep
fat puppy belly

Pony Party… Puppy Edition
So I was thinking about Puddin’ Hed, the smartest dog who ever owned me, this morning and this was the only net ready photo I could find…
Which of course started Puddin’ Hed’s favorite song in my head:
While looking I found some other puppy pics along the way…
Pooka…
Which led me to thinking about Puppy Power!
And puppy bellies…
And puppy curiosity…
And the goofiest grey ever…
Aaaaargh! Too many puppies….

Pony Party…..yep, monkeys again….
Here is my favorite Yahoo!News story du jour….titled ” Young chimp beats college students”
Short-term memory tests were conducted by showing sets of numbered (arabic numerals 1-9) ‘cards’ on a computer screen for seven tenths of a second. After that short interval, the numerals disappeared, and participants were asked to touch the ‘cards’ in numerical order by remembering the arrangement. Young chimps and college students were pretty equally matched in correctly reproducing the correct order.
However, as the test progressed, the amount of time for which the numbers were shown was progressively reduced, first to four tenths, and then to two tenths of a second. The chimp was still correct about 80% of the time (which is consistent with the longer version) while the college students proficiency dropped to about 40%.

Pony Party: Pickle Pics!
Ever since my faux pas this morning, I’ve been racking my brines to come up with an idea for another Pony Party. After a number of ideas that just didn’t jar with me, I finally figured it out. Eureka! {I do? Oh. I’d better change my brine}
Some choose to have Pony Parties that are a series of YouTubes. I have chosen a different path – one that is not obvious to anyone but me: pictures of pickles. I’d realized that I’ve been using the same pickle pictures for over a year now, and I’d like to get a few more.
So, bring on yer pickle pictures! {And, keep it clean, folks!}
Let’s start with the Party Pickle:

Pony Party: Eek, I forgot!
You know how Outlook has reminders that pop up and, well, remind you to do something?
And you know how, sometimes, you forget to look at Outlook (or your calendar).
Do you ever have that nagging feeling that you’ve forgotten to do something? Say, set up your Pony Party essay?
Eek!
