So…I woke up early, made some coffee, and got dressed and walked down to my polling place. I live in Indiana.

Trade Politics and the Battle for the Soul of the Democratic Party w/poll
The original article, subheaded The Broken Promises of Neoliberalism, by Mark Engler via counterpunch.com.
Where are we as far as economic policy and the Democratic party, and where are we likely to end up should the Democrats gain control of the White House (as well as extend their majorities in the Senate and House)? What is the effect upon the rank and file of the Democratic Party?

U.S. won’t get a gold medal for human rights w/poll
Original article by Pat LaMarche via bangordailynews.com.

The original article, by Mike Whitney, via dissidentvoice.org.

The Politics of Distraction in an Age of Gotcha Capitalism w/poll
The original article, subheaded Disintegration is Everywhere, by Ralph Nader via counterpunch.com.
This is quite worth the read. If you are working for more and better Democrats, it’s worth a look just to see where someone who’s not part of the organization is seeing things. For those of you ready to rip on it being from Ralph, he’s not calling on you to change your vote in this article, he’s asking you to pay attention to what the campaign’s being run on and how it relates to what’s actually going on in the country. I don’t see a call for a serious discussion of the issues of the day as being a bad thing at all, whoever it comes from.

Saturday Night YouTube: Last Waltz Edition!
So, I was trying to decide what to listen to while I did my exercise bike time and I looked around to see what there was I hadn’t listened to in a while. Usually, I listen to either Gackt Red or Gackt Blue (highly reccomended), sometimes I listen to Elton John from the Garden (Greatest Hits Live), somtimes Freddy’s Tribute Concert, and sometimes the Statler Brothers Farewell show (all just fabulous). Then I looked, and I saw the Last Waltz! Bingo!
