80 years ago the movie “Casablanca” made its premier on November 26at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. Starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid, the movie was rushed into release to take advantage of the publicity from the Allied invasion of North Africa a few weeks earlier. In 1943, Casablanca was nominated for eight Academy Awards, and won three. The movie endures in popularity today.
