Once again the fall back person for the fall back person is stuck..oops, is doing
tonight’s PP. So, since I’m not feeling well but am feeling obligated to fill
in how about we have some fun with this?!! Shortly after this site opened to
the public (you and me) there was a poll about age. Several interesting things
popped out.. If the FSM is watching over us (and if CLO is around) you just might find
some surprising things about folks here. Please take the poll and if you’re
feeling open to it how about filling us in with a comment about your age and your
location if you’d like to share that info.

Good morning, all!!
Who would have guessed that a potentially cup-deciding playoff game would go into (as of this typing) double overtime…the night before my youngest child’s 8th grade graduation-type ‘finale’ ceremony? well…i did….

I know i’ve been kinda MIA these past few days…weeks…and like i said last week, im finally into the home stretch of the end-of-school-year wind-down. After this week, both ‘things’ will be finished school, and since thing 1’s rehab vs. summer school dilemma isnt settled yet….and thing2’s audition for the orchestral institute workshop isnt until tonight, im not even sure what’s in store yet….

I drew a blank for this afternoon’s pony party. Call it pony block.
So here are a bunch of songs who somehow or another are thematically joined by the word or concept of nothing.
Add your thoughts about nothing if you are so inspired.
Don’t rec this lame ass pony party, hang out chit chat and then go read some of the excellent essays on our recent and rec’d list.

Although Degas was often considered an Impressionist, because he had a loose association with them, he did not consider himself so. He was born into a relatively wealthy family and had conservative social attitudes.
His work constantly evolved and he was influenced by a diversity of styles including prints from Japan. He was also known as a painter of dancers. Degas painted ordinary scenes in working class life and horse racecourses and jockeys.
I have a confession: if you gave me a choice between being an influential political leader/activist and an artist with actual talent I would choose to be an artist. Not the sort of thing one should admit on a progressive political blog, huh? But it is early and quiet and nobody is listening.
I just like this song. It is early morningish….
Please don’t rec pony party. Hang out, chit chat and then go read some of the excellent offerings on our recent and rec’d list.
