We’re sorry you’re stupid, but you’re not allowed to hold back the rest of the class anymore.

Dear misinformed Conservatives, we are sorry that you have been lied to by the Corporate Media. We are sorry that the scare tactics work on you every single time, we’re sorry that you don’t know anything about American history or even recent events. We are sorry that you can’t help but stare at the National Enquirer while on the line at the grocery store, but you’re not going to hold the line up anymore. The world won’t let you.

Dear Conservative Americans, we are sorry that you can’t see through Sarah Palin’s bullshit. We’re sorry you didn’t figure out that this country is fucked until after George W. Bush left office. We are sorry that you live in a fantasy alternate reality of someone else’s making, and we are inviting you out and into a better place, because stupid is not allowed to hold back the whole class anymore.

   More below the fold.

Town Hall Recap NY-20: I have met the wingnuts, they are very scared and dumb as hell

Change Vs NOOOO!!!

This is my personal account of Saturday’s town hall with Representative Scott Murphy.

I have met the wingnuts and looked into their eyes, and they are very scared, badly misinformed, angry, and dumb as hell.

Early on the screamers tried to troll out the event. Representative Scott Murphy (D-NY20) answered back with a line that sums up the whole argument when he said

“When we are done people can tell me what they hate.”

I have broken this diary up into four sections, including a breakdown of Congressmen Murphy’s conversations with the public and his stance on Health Care reform, as well as pictures from the event, the lobbyists role in all of this, and a statement on the need to throw bipartisanship overboard from now on.

Having engaged the GOP base firsthand, I can easily state that these are the dumbest people in the country.

Nano-Essay: CNN invents Hello! journalism

NEWS ALERT!!!

CNN reports that (OMG) Poor Latinos are victims of abuse nationwide.

When did this happen, how did this happen? Apparently it’s been going on right under our noses all the time. Why didn’t we notice it? OMG!

On another note: people are actually getting paid real money for reporting this stuff as breaking news.

I’ll admit to having been a very active participant in the 60s and early 70s and I didn’t tail off until Jerry died. But what passes for reality these days is getting way strange. It’s all of a sudden news on Earth Day 2009 that poor Latinos are getting abused? Did I miss something some where? Poor people of all sizes. shapes, colors, races, ethnicities, denominations and flavors have been getting abused since time began! I mean like, WTF!!!

There was a Jewish kid who showed up about 2000 years ago to point out the obvious. That didn’t turn out too well for him personally. But now we have CNN here to tell everyone on the planet that poor Latinos are getting abused. Thank God someone’s finally noticed.

I think reality just jumped the snark.

My idea of a vent hole at the moment is Kiluaea up Dick Cheney’s ass.

William Randolph Hearst invented Yellow Journalism when he ginned up the Spanish-American War just to sell newspapers. They forgot to teach you that in high school. Dick used Fox, CNN and all the networks to gin up the Iraq War for his oil buddies. And now CNN invents Hello! Journalism by turning the obvious into breaking news.

Great planet. I love the waves and the fish. Got some tuna steaks and steamed spinach to ingest.

I hope you all had a great Earth Day. It was a hell of a planet.

Shanti.

Uranium Found in Iraq!

It seems that on Saturday Brian Murphy of the Associated Press is reporting that the US has removed uranium from Iraq.

The removal of 550 metric tons of “yellowcake” — the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment — was a significant step toward closing the books on Saddam’s nuclear legacy. It also brought relief to U.S. and Iraqi authorities who had worried the cache would reach insurgents or smugglers crossing to Iran to aid its nuclear ambitions.

Holy Cow!  WMDs!  Saddam’s nuclear arsenal!  Condi’s smoking gun!  I came across this story at redstate.com where they are taking this effort as validation of Bush’s invasion!

Of course, if you read the whole story from Murphy, it’s kinda funny, and kinda sad…
